I certainly will not be buying another HP computer! I have learned my lesson! But I am angry about being in this situation. I bought this computer at Costco. Generally speaking, Costco sells decent products. I guess they goofed up on this one. I have tried to speak to the HP people. It is difficult to even get through to them. Apparently they put in a new motherboard and then returned the computer with another problem! I don't know if I want to let them get away with what they have done to my computer!

Thanks everyone, a lot of good feedback here. My husband and I both work outside the home so the computer is rarely used, for paying bills and occasionally catching up on some work late at night after kids are in bed. Kids are little 1 and 4 and in full time daycare. I'd love to find a new place for the love sac, I'll need to get creative, it used to be in girls bedroom, but with the move there is not a good space for it almost anywhere . I also like the idea of turning the desk, definitely visually appealing but word about kiddos bumping into it, specifically my one year old. I now see thatbi think something more uniform makes more sense. I might consider just 2-4 large , equally sized pieces best in a row

No. The work chair...sit at your desk NOT facing a wall. The work chair would be where the monitor is now. And then the desk still perpendicular to the window but facing the other direction, and with enough room to sit behind it to work...and hopefully have enough space for it not to be directly over the register. Or close the register or get one of those magnetic directional attachments. Assuming you like that arrangement lol.
