Those reusing flats (lids)
Comments (14)kayskats: Yes, I was wondering if those people had changed their minds. :) melva & zabby & bcskye: I never reused lids. They went from the jar into the trash can so I was surprised to see that thread where people said they were reusing them. They're not that expensive to risk a weak seal easily dislodged with a nudge or bump, or no seal at all. Carol: I'd find it hard not to boil canned goods after doing it in the past and even doing it with canned goods from the store. whynotmi: I still have and use old 1-piece canning lids when using chipped jars for storage of dry stuff. I also bought some of those white plastic ones I saw at Wally World....See MoreDo you wear some of the new 'toning' sneakers?
Comments (8)I have never been able to wear walking sneakers of any kind. The only time of sneaker I can wear without pain is a New Balance X trainer style. Used to wear Nike and Reebok cross trainers but they changed. I once bought a pair of walking sneakers for a trip to Disneyland. Wore them for 3 hours the first evening and the pain started at the ankle, then the knee and finally the hip. I wore sandals for the rest of the weekend because I couldn't even stand in those shoes without pain. It took me a month to fully recover. So I can see how that women could have hip fractures if she has brittle bones. But I think suing is insane. If something hurts then stop using it fool. I really wear sneakers. I wear sport sandals and flip flops in the summer and boots in the winter. Sketchers seem to be made for flat feet. I never found a pair that offered any support at all for my high arch....See MoreDo you wear low cut swim wear up top?
Comments (28)Thank you. :) You're probably right eld. I overthink things sometimes. I always have to remind myself to just stop planning and do at some point. I bought a colourful coverup yesterday and will look for a high necked sleeveless swim top to go under my tankini. Hopefully I won't have your problem daisychain, with riding up, as mine isn't tightly fitted. We have confronted BIL at various times and the usual remorse and empty promises occur. Hopeless cause I'm afraid. It would be nice if no alcohol were in the summer mix, but that isn't fair to all those who can handle it. I will try the deadpan stare and walk away though, thanks for that suggestion! He might not see it through his alcohol haze and probably will still think he's hilarious. He's pretty thickheaded. People used to laugh with him, which I found astonishing, but not so much anymore....See MoreThose who wear Boden - Sizing? (Updated)
Comments (21)@hcbm, I am glad you enjoy my self-indulgent clothing posts lol! Ah, I was confused at first because I thought all the reviews for theEva Jersey Midi dress were raving about the fit and comfort... but I think I figured it out: I suspect you found this dress (below)-- it was also on my list but passed on because I have a similar dress from Jjill. This one has exactly the complaints you are describing.. too bad, I think it is very pretty. Good luck! I am sure you will find something that works for you. There are so many pretty dresses. I especially like the colors and patterns in the spring/summer dresses!...See MoreOutsidePlaying
