When we bought our house the previous owners had painted the timbers to match the original (water-stained, never painted) stucco. I wanted it to look more like a traditional Tudor so I took a shade from the darkest brick for the timbers and something close the mortar color (but a bit warmer) for the stucco. I love your stone! If I had your house I'd take a dark shade from the stone, and considering the roof color, use a brown for the timbers and a natural stucco color as in Pal's example. Remember the that the sun can fade or wash out the paint when you pick your colors... There are many Tudor style homes here (Kansas City area) and I see so many variations. A lot homes with stone do the timbers in a lighter tone than the stucco and they look great too, more French Country IMO. Your present colors don't suit the stone or the roof - but you have so much potential!!! Good luck!

Entire house is a work in progress... Front landscape will improve this spring! I AM proud of my rock work, as I hand stained them after removing English ivy that engulfed the house. It has a bit more of a golden/warmer hue than appears on my rendering. Off to the right is another rock wall (staining in progress) w/gate to deeply sloped pathway to back. Yes, I can SO see how tacky are those temporary bi-fold doors below the deck. It appears I simply need one solid wall (horizontal or vertical?) to close it in, Time to purchase wood! :) I am removing the little roof overhand, as it was there when purchased, evidently as a winter cover for an in/below-deck hot tub. Frankly, I wonder if it all ought to be the color of the stucco w/window-frame colored accents, Wood-slatted awning or Small trellis

@tozmo1 agree with you on the all solid color, which is why we were thinking siding. We've seen tudor half timbers painted same color as the stucco but haven't seen it executed well. We have the late 80's textured stucco, and everywhere we've read says it will be impossible to remove the timbers and patch without being able to spot it as a patch a mile away. At that point we're looking at removing all of the stucco and simply starting over. We're hoping to be able to save on costs by being able to go right over the existing stucco facade.

Thank you for all the comments! I honestly defaulted to a Black roof because I did one on our last house and it looked stunning, and 'Black goes with everything!' right? Alright, now I need to rethink my roof color. Attached are the HOA Approved roof colors, and a close up of my brick. I am leaning to deleting the Slanted boards, so there are only the vertical and horizontal ones. If the HOA noticed, I can always have them put back up, but I have noticed a few houses in the neighborhood who have removed some of their boards. Attached is my attempt at visual of them deleted... I am not a pro! Also - I can paint my garage door and front door too! (Just can't paint the windows, haha). I want it to look cohesive, and appreciate all the input! Edit: And whole new fence will be going in next year when we re-grade the backyard. I agree it is very unsightly!
