That combination of lgreen, purple and berry in your picture is lovely, Lavender! I agree with the inspirational nature of clean and organized, that seems to be a unifying principle in these thoughts and comments. Regardless of what we have, want, or plan to get, it is far more enjoyable if it's well organized. The past three weeks our vacationing son has been cleaning out our storage basement (my decorative accessories graveyard, lol) and the local thrift shop that supports our women's shelter has a new "boutique" annex that is stocked with the five full size pickup trucks of stuff he has taken there and all the stuff everyone else has donated after Christmas.... Houses all over town are getting cleared out. In one way it's embarrassing to think we've accumulated that much stuff we no longer need or use, but I am grateful it will go to good use--- in someone else's home looking lovely (if slightly outdated) and whose sale will benefit women in my own community. Our long time housekeeper has finally retired :-( We've been making do with her granddaughter, who is NOT a long term solution. So I am now faced with finding another person who can do the same job, or at least attempt it. I am biting my tongue looking at all the cobwebs and fingerprints.

Arapaho, Thank you! I am pleased and a little surprised that people like the chandy, which I view as unconventional for the room. A, and K If I switched spots, then, upon entering the front door, one would be faced with the back of the sofa. I always feel that closes off a room.

Well apparently I stink at this and don't see issues with furniture. :p I guess I need to work on that. Looking at these few now. This is kind of a walk through Boop's learning how to buy used furniture thread or furniture in general I Think. I like this set from Vanguard. I think I read that is a decent name. I don't know why but I really like the warmth of the orange. It says Best offer and is from furniture land south. I have no idea what is reasonable to offer. I really like these, but I think the arms might be too high for everyday use.... These look too lumpy right? this is a pair of Baker sofas. Good price I think. Velvet, but I love that and the price is so good I think I could deal with that and the cleaning or recovering the cushions at some point. To the person who said I was all over the place it is true. There is really nothing I am married to in this room ATM besides The IKEA birch expedit shelves and the TV. Well and the brick fireplace (we are thinking of putting in a pellet stove there) I am planning to paint the walls BM windswept. I think it will go with many colors and the kitchen which this room is open to. We currently have a sofa and loveseat. The sofa is shot (very ripped, not worth repairing I think) and the loveseat is OK. A cheap set overall.

LOL, KSWL, I bet you cannot believe that I own such colorful towels! I really liked the print pillow because it is different, and because I think seeing beautiful MCM projects like Pipdog's and now Rockybird's has swayed me toward MCM. I had it saved on my ipad as an image but I could not recall the source; i just found them here on Houzz. Funny i have never bought from Houzz before (and that was not where I first saw them). I get you on the knots! Robo, The wicker set is funny. In some light it looks almost honey, it others is if very much grey. Look at this shot form the mfrs site below. THe DR chairs look diff than the seating, and even among the seating, the two chairs look quite different. I saw it in person and it is most like the chair on the bottom left seating photo.
