BM Simply White Cabinets...White Subway?
Comments (64)Ok thanks! But what if I were to go half way up the wall to create the illusion of wainscoting? I get what both of you are saying about leaving some of the grey paint, I think I like that too. If I end the tiles at the cabinets I didn't purchase any finishing pieces of tile just yet or even a ceramic crown piece. However, if I do the wainscoting look on the lower half with tile I could always finish off the edge with some wood trim but again, I'm not sure if that will look weird? I think it's safe to say going all the way around the door in my kitchen just won't work if I can't go all the way around the window and because of my bulk head, so that's out....See MoreFiguring out Daltile whites
Comments (49)It's not just Daltile, it's most larger tile shops. Seems if you are not a contractor or a designer they don't want to give you the time of day even though they are open to the public. Rittenhouse at Home Depot is not the same as from Daltile. Nonsense. All tile will vary somewhat by lot. It's tile. It's important to buy enough for the job from the same lot. Even within the same lots it's often a good idea to mix up the tiles from each box when setting them. I find that matching trim pieces with field tile is really nearly impossible at big box stores because they don't move enough to replenish their lots. For example the bullnose or cap could be sitting there more months while the field tile is reordered frequently....See MoreDalTile via Home Depot or DalTile
Comments (3)Well, we can get the Rittenhouse 3x6 but not the Modern Dimension 4x8 so looks like we are going with the ProSource pricing--need 4x8 bullnose too we are thinking a 3x6 basketweave pattern on top 3rd--chair-rail transition and then 4x8 in running bond...herringbone would have been an upcharge from the tile guy the shower is 72" back wall and end walls are 42"... i think the 3x6 on bottom third in running bond would be a little too busy and the 4x12 in Modern Dimensions is same price as 4x8 but they would be too long for short walls... Will the 4x8 be too boxy under basketweave?...See MoreHelp! Kitchen Remodel design
Comments (7)please please wait on the backsplash, i wouldnt even entertain it, until the kitchen is done... too many mistakes... love brass hardware with cabinet choice, but it doesnt have to be those if they dont fit your budget https://www.rejuvenation.com/catalog/collections/large-oval-cupboard-latch/products/5f10c00cf626ad6b2af89cff these are my favorite favorite style hardware, yes almost the same price... buuuut, you can do this on some of the uppers, and have cheaper pulls or knobs i like the library style lamps over a pendant......See MoreCreative Tile Eastern CT
