Comments (4)Hi Dom, If you go here: http://members.gardenweb.com/members/exch-search.cgi You can use it to search members exchange lists to see who is looking for huckleberry plants or seeds. :) You might want to email GW member parkman009 - He has huckleberry plants on his wanted list. Also, it may be a good idea to post this availability notice in the following other forums: Edible, edible landscape, fruits, the kitchen garden, fruit & orchards, and round robin exchange- there is a group in round robin exchange called "Incredible Edibles" that may have some interested members. Comments (6)Preppy, Goole, "flowering peaches". There are stone fruit like peaches or apricots that are grown for their beautiful flowers. They do not set fruit. They are strictly for an ornamental purpose. you can also google flowering apricots....See MoreMy runt is producing flower buds. Very odd to me.
Comments (4)From what I've seen, there is a lot of variation in seedlings. Some branch like crazy from an early age, some bloom early, some never seem to want to bloom, etc. If it were me I'd let it bloom and see how they look.... post an update when they open! (Sometimes new leaves and blooms look similar when they are very small but it is hard to tell from the photo.)...See MoreCucumber replant flowering and producing fruit but keep dying
Comments (10)That's the standard (and excellent) advice about hand pollination. It ALWAYS works. It's a big effort if you have a large bed of cukes, but if you just have one plant, it's easy, and there is absolutely no reason to wait for an insect to decide to help out. Just do it. In that context, a pool cage might be nice, just to keep the bad insect pests off. That being said, the point about leaf burn near pools is a good one. It's well understood that chlorine levels in the air around especially indoor pools can be high, and many people get eye irritation from that. Can't be good for plants....See Moreecholane
