Summer_Squash, it appears to only be the old leaves. The further down the vine I go, the better the leaves look. I just checked. Some of the decaying leaves do also have yellow spots on them. This looks similar to what I am seeing on my tomato plants. (Here is my post about it.) We did have couple of cold nights here in MA. So may be it was cold winds. My plants are outside for last three weeks though. So they are hardened off ..

The spores I 'think' I am seeing are on the second pic on the stems and leaf in the lower left when I blow the pic up. They have that dusty powder appearance. Also second pic leaf lower right 2 spots, 1 on top right margin and maybe one on leaf tip. Not definitive in any way just a maybe early stage EB. And yeah if I recall you use lots of compost as your nutrient source so it could still be wet deep and the micro-herd is going to be sluggish. The yellowing still takes several days to develop anyway following the rain. Then again sometimes yellow leaves are just yellow leaves that you remove and toss and keep an eye on. Dave

Hi, Ricardo. Looking at your pictures I'm guessing you're in the UK. The plants in your picture are all tough perennials which do not need any kind of nitrogenous fertiliser. However, your plants are not dying. Given the amount of rain we're getting at the moment the nitrogen will wash out pretty soon. If you want to do something for them start a compost heap and mulch them with that when it's ready. In fact, to be honest with you I'd dig up all the plants, get rid of the Oxalis and maple seedlings and dig a load of compost into the bed before replanting. Pelleted chicken manure is mostly used by vegetable growers. Just follow the dosage recommended on the bucket.
