The other advantage to the 2nd layout in BR1 is that the headboard is rather high and if I put it along the wall, it won't block the windows which would probably be better. I'll see about adding seating when I get the beds assembled. We may have room and it would give me a project to scour antique shops. That is what I'm planning on doing for a nightstand in the second bedroom. A little shabby/chic, beachy. I was going to look through some "Real Simple" magazines for inspiration. I'm not sure exactly what I want yet, but I though a "weathered" table, perhaps in a fun color, would go nicely with the iron bed. ajsmama, Thank you for the suggestion on BR1. I agree that swaping the nightstand is much better. On BR2, I think I could move the dresser closer to the door. The only think I actually don't like about the dresser in that position in general is that I'm not fond of the look of it from the side, but no mater how far forward or backward it is, I'm going to have that problem... If you take out that one wall, there is still the issue of where to place the bed. Do you have measurements or a floor plan of the suite? I wonder...what if you actually extended the right-hand wall, and moved the doorway to the left? Then you could place the bed with the head against the wall. Or...how long is the wall between the bedroom door and the little niche? Is it long enough to be a doorway, and close up the existing doorway? From the way light falls, it looks like there is a door to another bedroom just to the left of the MBR door, is that right?

If you have a better organization system in your closet, and pare down the items that are stored in the room, could you get rid of some of the furniture? Definitely get rid of the TV cabinet and mount it on the wall. Maybe you could get rid of the cabinet beside the closet, or move it elsewhere in the room. We don't have room or furniture measurements so hard to tell, but could it go on the same wall that the green cabinet is on now, but closer to the window? Not sure if it would block access to the bed. I like your headboard and would not replace it. I'd put less art on the walls, not more. For the group of 3 pictures, hang them at the same height and closer together, about the distance of the picture mat or a bit closer. They should "read" as one unit. Unless you use the mirror for dressing/makeup, a piece of art would look better, e.g. the piece that is over the tall dresser, although the formal-looking gold frame doesn't really go with the more rustic look of the room at all. Can you use it in a different room and bring something else in here? The green vase is out of place too. I would fold the checked blanket in half and lay it sideways across the foot of the bed.
