I added a photo of my slope - what do you think?
Comments (1)I couldn't really understand what you meant in the above post, but if you want to embed a picture into a post, that's easy! Upload your picture onto an image hosting site such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc. That should be pretty straight forward, and the individual sites will give instructions on how to get your photos uploaded to their site when you sign up. Once your picture has been uploaded, find its web address by right clicking on the image and copying the image location. Some sites may even provide the address in a text box below the photo for your convenience. Let's say, as an example, that the address of the picture you want to post is http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg To embed the picture into a post, use the command img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg"> Note that I had to use special characters to get the command above to show up here without turning into a picture, but you can use it as shown (with the correct image location, of course)....See MoreMy kitchen photo stolen and used in Ad
Comments (60)Now you know how Metallica feel. It's a sad fact of the Internet age: people feel like everything they find is theirs. They download music. They scrape articles and put their names on them, take photos and use them in ads. They don't feel like they're doing anything wrong. The people who used your photo in the ad may honestly not understand they did anything wrong. If it honestly bothers you that they did this, contact them, tell them calmly that you're really uncomfortable with them using the photo to promote their business, and could they make another ad? That might be all it takes. And if they're jerks, all the threats in the world won't make them do anything. I'm not a lawyer, but I think from my work experience, and what's posted here, that your legal position would be murky. One thing you CAN do, as starpooh pointed out, that makes photos less appealing to scrapers, and makes them MUCH easier to identify, is watermarking. Watermark those suckers all over the place. They'll choose softer targets. Photographers and other artists who make their living selling images, but need people to see their work to buy it, have various ways of getting around the bad guys. Some won't let images on the 'net at all. Sad. In the end, I think we all have to accept that everything we put out there is being stolen in some way....See MoreFigured out how to remove a Houzz photo from a post!
Comments (11)Birchpoint, are you trying to do it in edit? That won't work. I removed it while still in post mode. What I had been doing when I didn't want the photo was C&Ping the text and reposting in a new comment box. Maybe I had backspaced photos out after the change to Houzz but haven't done it in so long that I thought it was a new trick. The brain gets funny when it hits age 60. Let's see if I can delete a photo from my computer. Nope. I'm not able to right click on it in post mode. Missouribound, are you telling me how to remove my stored photos form my pictures folder? What I meant is how do I remove photos posted in a thread from my computer....See MoreAnyone know how to delete a photo?
Comments (3)Julia , what I do is click the left mouse button and hold it and swipe it across the image I usually go from right to left . This puts a (in this case right now that I tried) a green overlay on the image and then I hit the delete button and the image is gone....See MoreFOCAL POINT STYLING
