Really lovely pink on Runaway Romance, & just enough of an edge. Oddly, my favorite is Sitting Cool. I usually go for the colorful ones, but something about this one just calls my name.

What a nice selection of daylilies. Bud Bennet had a way with the color pink. Siloam Melvin's Yellow looks white to me, but its got a nice wide face to it. Happy Independence day to you too..........Maryl

Here are some from this morning: Half Moon Key Wren's Song FAT AND FOXY (FFOE on this Bud Bennett Intro. I thought that it was the wrong flower as it looks different than the pic on the registry, but the form and eyezone are the same. The colors on most plants have been off this year. I also received the plant from him and I know how he had his sale garden set up, so I am sure there is no mistaking that this is Fat and Foxy.). MORMON SPIDER EINSTEIN in the am Startling Creation x Flying Down to Rio I know that I posted a picture of this flower earlier but here it is again along with a scape. It is a cross of Siloam Gumdrop x Lavender Blue Baby. This one is going to stick around because the eye color is also on the edge. Have a great day and stay cool. David

South Sea Enchantment is a very pretty pink. That's a nice cluster of Adorable Tiger too you've got there. I also like Electric Mist with that big yellow/green throat. The edges on Guy Meadows are scrumptious. ........Maryl

David - thank you so much for posting all these! A plethora of diploids and with ruffles - yay! They are all gorgeous, and now I'll be looking for Bennett's in the years to come, I'm sure.

I can't pick a favorite either, well, maybe Kiwi Magic, Tactical Cat & Wild Cherry Wine, but i could keep going. I really like the wide open look of these flowers. I don't have a single Bennett, guess I should look for at least one.

It is great seeing all these Bennett hybrids, since they seem hard to come by. Salty Skipper was one I really liked, plus Wild Cherry Wine. Never seen or heard of Jazz Me Blues, really like that one. Kiwi Magic came to live here last fall, first blooms this year, did really well, and now, guess what--there are three big healthy scapes coming up now, so there will be more beautiful blooms in the future.

I also have SALTY SKIPPER, DOING ALL RIGHT, BOLD SYMPHONY, WIDE-EYED WALLY, BURTONSVILLE BLUSH and recently added PASSING FANCY as well as a few others which did not bloom this year, do to being moved in the late Spring.

WOODSIDEQUEEN - I do like Mr. Bennett's pinks. He experimented around with some other colors as you can see. He always returned to working with the pinks.

Like Nancy, I don't have a single Bennett but obviously need some too!! I have come to really like many of his seen on this forum. I love the clear pinks he did. Always love seeing your extensive collection. Thanks for posting these.

Nice collection and beautiful photos. Wild Cherry Wine and Kiwi Magic are my favorites, but all are lovely.

Thanks so much for gathering these together and showing them. I have Wild Cherry Wine and it's been rather a slow grower, which is alright for me as I grow mine in a pot. It is gorgeous however and well worth the limited space I have. I was wondering since you grow all these what are your favorites. Do you have a top 3?.........Maryl

Here would be my top 5 Bennett intros in no particular order:

1. Wild Cherry WIne

2. Fashionaire

3. Jubilee Ball

4. Sitting Cool

5. Runaway Romance

Tactical Cat and Kiwi Magic could also be in the top five, but I do prefer larger blooms. There has been only one of Mr. Bennett's intros to leave the garden and that is KNOW THE CODE. It was a cute little flower, but I prefer larger blooms.

Ah, I see Salty Skipper is not on your top 5. That is one I have always admired in photos & had on my wish list. I could easily switch to one of these others though.

Those are all beautiful, David. I do love his intros, and was very sad to lose Joyful Lassie this last winter. Wild Cherry Wine does beautifully here and Salty Skipper does too, but winter was hard on Salty Skipper this year too and I would not let it bloom since it appeared so weakened. I do think Runaway Romance and Beauty in Motion are gorgeous as are Fashionaire, Cheating Heart and the always gorgeous Wild Cherry Wine.
