Allison0704, You owe me some serious cash! I found a beautiful set at Dillards. I bought two! I also manage to get a workbag, a cookware set and measuring spoons! Here is the set I bought from Dillard's. I like the brown one two, but this store didn't have that one. It's dangerous when I can't decide because then I just buy both! It's not a pattern, but there is enough "movement" going on that I won't get bored by eneptly cooked meal. I wanted to redo my kitchen in red and black initially, but I'm thinking turquoise to add some fun. I think I want to add a little more color so I also purchased a set of 4 plates that is turqouise and black from Target. I'm taking both sets home and will play around with them for a little while to see how I like them. Dillard's had many beautiful sets, it was my first time in Dillards. I'll def. be going back. I have got really tall ones at Dollar Tree but they are not deep in the bottom so not sure something really thick like a comforter would fit, you will need one that has a very deep wide bottom not just tall. The ones I got at Home Depot were deep and wide enough to hold something like that. I guess they carry them to hold all the big tools and stuff?? I have also found some decent size ones at Big Lots.

A 6x9 rug is pretty large and pretty heavy. There really is no need for a rug pad underneath (at least not from the perspective of 'holding it place'. One of my favourite places to shop reasonably priced rugs: Ikea. They have HUNDREDS and they will have the backing listed as well as the fibre content. If you have an Ikea near you, you are welcome to visit (assuming they are open...most are with mask requirements of course). You can look at the back of the rug to see what it is made of.

JudyG, more wood lol. The flooring in the entryway is mosaic ceramic tile. Circa 1961. It asks for nothing so I am considering keeping it. The oak wainscoting on that one lone wall you mentioned, I could probably take it off but there was a staircase there at sometime according to the original house plans so id have to peak... It matches the entryway wainscoting. Actually, I am open to any and all suggestions. I recently painted the dining room and am happy with the color (living, dining and kitchen) but I took everything off the walls and never put it back up. I just keep looking at this blank slate and wondering how I can get it up to speed. So flooring first. I'm swaying hubby over to hardwood and I'll get my way. Lol. Thank you!
