Bump

Hi...thanks to everyone and their respomses. After i left the post, i looked inside ome of the blooms and saw that all of the stamens were black...i had only had this plant for a few days, and came to to the conclusion that it had gotten too cold during shipment to the shop my husband had purchased it from. Needless to say, all of the blooms fell off. So, i am now left with a beautiful green plant, and no flowers. Now i need help figuring out 'how' to possibly get it to re-bloom. Any advice would be so very appreciated. Thanks to all, and have a lovely afternoon. P.S. i only sat it outside to take the photo...it resides in my home in a bright window.

I wish I had the answer for you...I've had some issues ( similar but different) that some of my magnifica leaves had also. I sprayed mine with Bonide all season horticultural oil. Unfortunately, a few weeks go after I watered it I accidentally left it in full sun for a few hours and sunburned a lot of the leaves...**sigh** its in the shade now but a lot of the leaves shriveled up and has fallen off. The hort. oil has helped but not sure if that is what you are dealing with? Have you seen any bugs on yours?

Thanks guys!! I have a myriantha also but that one is planted in the ground and was completely fine in our mid to upper 30's that we had a few nights here in Jan/Feb. My Myrianta bloomed non-stop from about 6 weeks after I planted it till late winter and now it has only one bloom (dark purple berries) but I know its about to put on a show soon...it has tripled in size since I planted it last summer. Pictures of my Myriantha Blutayle, my potting mix for my magnifica is similar to yours...it has potting mix, perlite or crushed granite, small pieces of Orchid bark...seems to like this mix. I let mine dry out mostly before giving it a good soaking. I fertilize once every 10-14 days with half strength fertilizer from Spring till late Fall. Carol, I was lucky enough to get one from my daughter for Mother's day she purchased it from (Kartuz Nursery), then when I was in SC on vacation I stumbled upon one for $15 for a 6" pot!! Very excited, Lol...then I took a cutting and it actually rooted...then combined all 3 in one pot. With my Magnifica I left it outside in my screen porch when the temps stayed above 40 degrees and it didn't mind it... Sultry, thanks for your input and helpful info :o)
