Condensation forming on top of dishwasher and granite damaging cabinet

I have a GE dishwasher that I've had for about 5 years. I started noticing damage to the wood cabinet to the side of the dishwasher and found that after it runs (usually the speed setting with no heated dry) condensation is building up at underneath the granite counter and on the top of the dishwasher door. This is running down the side and damaging the cabinet. I've always noticed water droplets on the outside of the door after running, but didn't realize this was a problem until I saw the cabinets. Any ideas? I am thinking it could have possibly been installed improperly. I called GE and they told me that shouldn't be happening and to make an appointment with an authorized repair person. I called a repair person and he was basically telling me that this happens
sometimes and just live with it. I don't want to have to replace the
cabinet when it really gets damaged. Any ideas on what could be causing this or solutions?
