Cracks to be concerned about?

Megan Lyons

I recently purchased a condo in a building over 100 years old. The condo itself was a total gut job; they ripped everything down to the studs and replaced everything - floors, windows, roof, etc. However, the stone foundation and the exterior masonry walls were left as is, with new parging over the foundation on the basement and new plaster over the interior of the masonry walls. Recently I've noticed several cracks in the parging and on the interior of one exterior wall in particular on all three floors of the condo. These cracks were not here when we did the home inspection about a month after renovations were completed, and it has now only been about 6 months. Are these something I should be concerned about and call a structural engineer to take a look while my home warranty is still valid?
