Recommendation for long blooming perennials for Dallas
Comments (4)i would start at the local nursery.. with a pencil and notepad.. and take notes on what strikes you ... and buy a few.. and stick them in the ground. . thats how you start gardening ... once you have a list.. i am sure we can offer many opinions on whatever you want to know ... otherwise.. the list you ask for could be thousands of plants ... the reason i said nursery.. rather that BIGBOXSTORE ... is because.. presumably.. those folks have been in your area for years.. and they know what will grow .. and what will be easy ... if makes no sense.. for me up herein MI to list a multitude of plants.. that simply wont do much for you down there ... go figure.. there is a TEXAS forum.. who knew.. lol ... you might want to check over there .... but do come back ... WELCOME to GW .... ken...See MoreNeed info in Salisbury, MD
Comments (0)Hello.. Does anyone know where the good local garden stores are in Salisbury, MD... or at least Wicomico county or thereabouts, that sell quality heirloom tomato plants, organic fruit/veg plants, native plants & flowers, etc..? (anything besides big box stores.) Also is there a community garden where you can rent an allotment anywhere around? Any other helpful gardening resources you'd recommend? Thanks in advance...!...See MoreDaylily Growers of Dallas spring sale?
Comments (14)I was popping in here to ask questions about buying and growing dayliIies in Texas. I just checked North Haven Gardens website, and the daylily sale was last weekend. So, having missed that opportunity, can anybody recommend reliable daylily sellers online? Also, when is the best time to plant daylilies in Texas? I'm in Dallas, if that makes a difference. (My zone/location info isn't on since Houzz took over, anyone know how to add that back in?) And, what are your favorite neglect proof, look great even when not blooming, more than a pretty face daylilies for Texas? (I gravitate to the lavendars, dark reds/dark purples, and the dramatic eyes. I prefer round over triangular form. Spiders are cool. )...See MoreNeed clay resource
