gawdinfever, my soil tests cost $15 each and about $5 in shipping to the University of Maine soil testing lab. If you do a web search in MO, you'll find where your soil will need to go. If you are close enough you can avoid the shipping cost. When you consider how much money is spent on seed & fertilizer, getting a soil test is smart money.

I hear you loud and clear!! Move down here where we might not have any frost and the pollen stays and floats about for months. Did you know that "they" claim that ragweed pollen is so light, that it can be carried on the air for over 60 miles? Maybe we should move waaaayy out to sea and drop anchor. I asked the DH one day if he had known the problems that he would living with someone with bad allergies, would he have married me. He still hasn't answered.

Showed my FIL this weed last night and he says water hemp and some it might be pig weed. There seem to be two very similar plants. One is only a medium green like the first picture while the others have a lot of purple like the second picture. I just haven't found a photo of pig weed yet that 100% convinces me that the purple stuff is pigweed. Perhaps water hemp can have the different colorations?

The "fern" like foliage is a common plant that some people consider a good ground cover while others consider it a "weed" so it depends on where it is and what you want growing there. The others, it is difficult to identify them. Whether any plant is a "weed" or not depends on you. If this is a plant you want, growing where you want it (or maybe don't mind), then it is not a "weed". But if this plant is one you do not want, growing where you do not want it to grow then it is a "weed". I have several Rosa Rugosa'a that fit that category, a plant I do not want growing where I do not want it therefore a "weed", although there are some Columbines that have self seeded in an area where I would not plant them but they grow there and I leave them alone.
