Need help with identification

The owner of a local greenhouse gave this clipping to me. He thought it was a Hoya, but he was not sure. It has thick succulent leaves and a thick stem. Any ideas?

That is indeed Peppermonia, its fairly common in my local supermarket and draws me in at a distance thinking it is a hoya till i get close. on the otherhand i do know a bit

Peperomias are widely grown as houseplants and includes some choice succulent species with windowed leaves. The genus Piper includes plants that are the source of spices and mild narcotics. The berries of the climbing vine Piper nigrum are made into black pepper. Piper ornatum has attractively patterned foliage.

The Pepper Family Piperaceae does not include Potatoes, Tobacco, Tomato, Bell Peppers, and Chilli Peppers. These belong to the Nightshade Family (Solanaceae).... which i have developed a sensitivity to... hence why i know the difference.

I don't know what that is, but I don't think it's a hoya....peperomia sounds like a good guess...

Could also be stuartiana or a hybrid with one of those as the parent . There is no way to tell from the leaves since they all look exactly the same. There's a chance it could be identified from the flower but even then with so many varieties and hybrids in the mix it might be difficult to get an exact ID.

Here's my Chicago P. at about the same stage. More buff than yel. Tiffany and Abe Darby were both pink last spring! No pics of them looking so .... pink.

Definitely a Dendrobium orchid. Could use more light .... those leaves are way too dark (based on the photo.)

I think Laura and Shelley are right. That must have been a huge plant because that stem looks very thick.

Thanks all, I researched Peperomia and it is definitely that. Thanks for all of your help. I am trying to label all of my plants and I still have a few unknowns that people have given me or were unlabeled when I purchased them.
