Comments (11)Aerial shots from the tiny plane we flew in while leaving Block Island: The Point Judith Lighthouse A sizable suspension bridge and shortly thereafter, what appears to be military planes at an airfield About midway through the trip the smaller camera that I used for these shots and in the underwater case while snorkeling, somehow got a piece on lint on the inside of the lens, which shows up as a fuzzy dark patch in all of the pictures. On many of the better pictures I was able to edit it out with a photo editing program, but it is a fair bit of work and it is rather annoying....See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Fri Sept 04
Comments (20)I agree about percussion. My son enjoyed his drum set many years after HS, and I never minded listening to the practice as it really was "music to my ears." Band is a wonderful experience for these kids, I know you agree and I commend you for whatever your involvement is. My son's school traveled outside the country a couple times to be in competitions, once to the Calgary Stampede where it rained on them and their new uniforms. He sure had a lot of wonderful experiences and is still close friends with one of his fellow drummers....See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Fri Aug 12
Comments (17)Rusty, I live in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. That trail is called North Head Trail although most people just call it the Signal Hill Trail. It winds around Signal Hill. It's quite steep in places but at least there are stairs to climb. I typically start at the bottom of the hill (on the other side) and walk up the road to the top, then take the trail back down. Many, many people jog this trail but I am not a runner. It looks worse than it actually is, although there are no rails, only a few steps with handrails. In one section where the trails is especially narrow and steep there is a chain bolted to the cliff face so you can hang on to it. I rarely do, quicker to just go without holding onto the chain. It usually takes me 48 minutes to do the entire trail. I haven't done it much this year because I've been doing other trails but last summer I used to do it 3 or 4 times a week. It's a great workout!...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Fri Aug 19
Comments (8)Such curious creatures, those dragon- and damselflies! They are so odd looking, almost unrealistic, more like a piece of jewelry. Such different colors too. Interesting. Nicole, I love your hummer today. This is a side I haven't seen before and I do love his tummy ruff. Cool stuff....See More- 9 years ago
