Rainbow Sorbet has less petals than Mardi Gras which usually means the blooms blow quicker... however when you have a full sized bush covered in blooms, as long as you dead head regularily it doesn't much matter... RS is from 2006, MG is from 2007 both are bred for bright color and disease resistance... Unfortunately there just hasn't been enough time to really see them both at their best side by side except at certain public gardens around the country... My suggestion would be to buy 1 of each, keep them in pots side by side, give them the same amount of water and sun, and grade each of them that way... Since whatever rose you choose is going to be the main focus of your front yard for a long long time, you want to make sure and get the best one...

Leezen4u, that is a bright display! I love it! I just love yellow roses, and I have seen pictures of Mardi Gras before and thought it looked so neat and cool, like sherbet! Yours are really, really pretty. They are beautiful, thank you for sharing them. Wish my roses were nearly as pretty. Hopefully once they begin to mature I'll have blooms as pretty as this to fill a vase!

I don't really know the answer to your question but my guess is the 6 pack is for landscaping purposes. The landscaper doesn't really care what the daylily looks like he is just trying to fill a space.

Thank you all :). Bubba is hanging in there and told me he never imagined having to start over like this at 30 yrs old but what choice is there. He works at the same plant my DH does (different shifts) and generally they are quite a close knit group who pull together when one or another needs something so I'm sure there'll be quite a bit of generous help to him there as well. I did pass along the thoughts and prayers from you all and he said they are much appreciated.(he's been around long enough that he didn't find it weird that "strangers" were thinking of him...*S*) He also commented that he liked my table (which is shocking since he (nor any of the other excessive testosterone in this house..LOL) doesn't really pay much attention to that sort of thing), made me feel nice.
