Looking for advice on how to use a great space in our upstairs hall
Comments (2)What a lovely space! Love the windows, paint and trim. This is a space that you want to utilize the upper walls for shelving, baskets, décor....not furniture against the walls. I see a lovely round table with barrel chairs for wireless "electronics" to be used along with books, paper, pens and even games....See MoreI need advice how to place furniture, wall picture in our living room?
Comments (20)To groveraxle: When I said.." there is no other place for piano.." I mean that in our apartment, we don't have any other place to move piano ( den or bedrooms). Only place it is living room. And yes, I will definitely move piano to the other wall, next to the book shelf. See, I have more plans to update the room. I want pain wall some different color, want to strip popcorn ceiling, the bookshelf I want to re make it with more lighter material and not as deep as present and may be add glass doors. Also not sure about carper on the floor, should change it to wood floor? It all project for later but I want to see whole picture for the room and I find it really hard Thanks again for helping =)...See MoreHelp! We are struggling with our living room space!
Comments (56)With that mat (rusty red and gold colours), I would avoid pink, purple or blue flowers and go with yellow, red, white and orange. For example, a couple of pots of crocus and/or daffodils in the planter in the spring, then switch them out to annuals e.g red trailing geraniums, then gold or bronze chrysanthemums in the fall when the annuals die. Add some ivy to trail over the side. I like the mat because it has the gray of your siding and is still quite colourful. I'd avoid blue mats if you're looking to match flowers to it - there is less selection in blue annuals. For the chair or bench I suggested, it needs to be small. We have one in that spot - only 11" deep, 40" long, 16" high. Very plain painted wood. We find it very useful. Similar to this but ours is even smaller. Search for outdoor dining bench or patio dining bench....See MorePlease can I have help with how to design my living room space
Comments (13)Try a love seat facing fireplace, either up closer so traffice flow would be behind, or against wall where storage door is. Add some type of shelving/bookcase to the right of fireplace for storage and a small tv. Add an extra chair, narrow coffee table and a rug will help define it as a seating area. Accessorize and try Marketplace for some great finds. On other side of fireplace you could add large art and a fold downtable would be perfect for meals, entertaining and a spot for a laptop....See Morelaughablemoments
