I would not be surprised if the "functional parts" have been photoshopped out of that picture, or it could just be that the angle of the picture and the thickness of the counter is hiding the plumbing. You cannot have a sink without a drain and a trap, although dornbracht does make a "bottle trap" (and I'm sure others do too) that is cleaner looking than the standard p-trap which may or may not be code complaint in your area (it is not in NYC for example). For the floating bench you'd basically have to build a structure for it that is anchored into your wall - it's essentially a cantilever. You can't just bolt something to the wall and expect it to be deep enough to be a bench AND take the weight of a human.

I don't remember where I found these photos of mcubb14's album; I'm thinking it was on GW. My cabinets and floor are very similar and I love the stools, backsplash tile and even the window treatment! AnnieDeighnaugh what are the names of the fabrics you posted? I love the second and third one. I think the third one may actually be the same fabric as on our breakfast room chairs. beekeeperswife I have no idea how I would mock that up but I can certainly try. Maybe I can put a tall table there with some fabric swatches. Also, we'd definitely like to come and visit and see your house. I bought them in September of 2012 and the seller was winecountryestate139. There were actually four chairs but I only bought two, because that was all I needed and they had to be shipped from CA. I suppose there is always a chance that they still have the other two... nancybee_2010 that could work too. I'll have to google some. kksmama there is actually a little bit of brown tones in the blue granite so the coppery color would probably bring that out a little. Me! Two kitchen barstools -- that I painted satin black ..... Added felt pads and a black cushion to the seat -- our breakfast bar is quite high -- most folks do find them comfy -- and there IS a wood bar for your feet so they don't dangle in space. Hope this helps!
