Dekton thickness and fabrication tools

I'm thinking of using Dekton Sirius for my small kitchen. Would like a 1.2cm thickness with just a "polished" edge, no miter or eased glued-up edge.

So question: is this possible to just have the slab run out to the edge with no underlayment, and then somehow make the edge slightly rounded (not sharp) and acceptable looking? The Sirius color seems to be black all the way through.

Also, is there a tool to sand/grind out any future chips? What exactly is used to cut this stuff? Diamond blades? Is there some sort of heavy duty Dremel-type tip to smooth over small chips, say on the edge?

I wouldn't mind having some dips and ground out areas, since the uneven surface mimics stone in the first place, and the color is all the way through. If doable that would be an acceptable repair in my kitchen.
