Without seeing the kitchen and why your DH wants gray, I say the one on the far right. The strong contrast in the gray would take over the room and I think would fight the rug. The ivory give you pattern, but you can still see the rug and they balance each other. I had been thinking blue, but I like the cream or ivory and that keeps that light feel. Blue would have to be balanced with some other weight in the room or I think they would be too heavy too. You might find something like the ivory but with a pattern in blue (not too much) as a compromise? But let's see what's in the kitchen......

Get a rug that is 2-4 feet wider than the sofa. Use painter's tape and tape it out on the floor. The taped "rug" should slip under the front 1/3 of the sofa and extend past the ends by a foot or so. If you get a leggy chair, it should sit entirely on the rug. I advise a larger, visually weighty coffee table to work with the sofa. The one you have now is just to spindly and feminine for the seating pieces. It should sit 18" or less from the sofa. Once you have the table, pull the other seating pieces to within 18" of it for conversation and putting down drinks. Otherwise, they'll need their own side tables. I'm guessing you could use more lighting.

Hi! I know this is an old post but I judt came across because we just replaced our dining room table with a live edge one and don’t know what chairs to pair with. Was wondering what you went with. Also I noticed that you have what appears to be a one wall kitchen which is my goal for a kitchen makeover and was wondering how long that wall is from fridge to end. Any help would be great!
