Amazing sunset tonight!

Friend just took this and shared. Our balconies overlook the same area but she's on the opposite side of the road from me and her views are not as obstructed as mine. I have lots more trees and she's higher up than me.

Beautiful colors, Lilo. When I saw the thin sliver of moon last night, I was startled, b/c it was so big and hanging so low in te western sky and it was only about eight o'clock. If it was setting and had been overhead all day, I definitely missed it! Maggie. my cat. slept on my chest for 30minutes around 2 a.m., kept me warm, but she was heavy! :)

Oh, that's beautiful. No sunset here - or sunrise - it's been storming all day. Dark and wet.

From the opposite side of the road, my view and friend's are the same, but she has a much better camera than me.

And I have the trees.

That's a neat picture. Usually, the sun rays shine down.

There have been some spectacular sunsets lately. I took this picture as we were out for our evening walk. The sky was on fire.

The photo Glenda posted looks like an illustration from the Bible.

Wildfires in the west are adding particulates to the air, far and wide. This adds to the pollution, creating more red and orange effects when the sun is low to the horizon.

That's the only thing I miss from my last house. Sat up on a hill with no trees blocking my view. I could watch the sunrise from my living room window every morning, and the sunset behind my kitchen every night. Beautiful, Glenda.

Wow! That is a stunner. My view for sunsets is like yours, Glenda. I have trees and houses in my way. Whenever I hear someone saying what a great sunset we had, I just have to use my imagination. Maybe I should get out more around that time??

This was taken Friday night while we were at an outdoor concert on the mountain.
