Opinions on exposed/hidden oven burners

We just recently purchased a new range for our cottage. It is a small space that is only used for 4 or 5 months of the year and we don't do much baking out there, so we bought what I think is a solid, but fairly low priced range ( Frigidaire convection ceramic top). The appliance store I looked at did not have any ranges with exposed burners within the price range we were looking at. Is this the standard now? Because we won't use this one that often, I'm not overly concerned about performance. However, our range at home is about 12 years old, has the exposed burner and I love it. I'm now worried that when it dies, I won't be able to find another with the exposed burners (that I can afford, anyways). Do you think this is a phase and exposed burners will make a comeback? Or am I the only one that prefers exposed burners?
