Beaconsfield Master Bedroom Update

Our clients requested a restful retreat with better lighting and new furniture. Textured shimmery wallpaper on the bed wall gives a focal point to the room and new draperies in same fabric as custom headboard tie the space together. New pot lights throughout, funky pendant lighting over the night tables and a new ceiling fixture give the room a bit of a boutique hotel feel and the sumptuous wool carpet anchors the bed and new bench.

Out of all of them, I like the 1st or 3rd that I posted. IMO, a fully upholstered bed looks more finished than just a headboard. I think the 1st nicely mimics the curves in the nightstands and dresser and feels a bit more traditional, as does the furniture. Do you know how tall the nightstands are? They should come within an inch or two of the height of the mattress.

I'm not sure if that is your furniture, but the space itself is pretty up to date. the lamps, bedding and perhaps the pastel could be updated. IF this is not your furniture, then I would say, yes paint the walls before you move in bare in mind most old farmhouses didn't have wall to wall carpet but carpet is also cozy so I think the result here would come mostly from the items you put in the room.

Yes to removing or covering the hearth tile. If we don't need it, we could put the hardwood there when that work is done. The fireplace has black metal that doesn't look finished if it's left exposed. Maybe a new layer of wall board coming in further with metal stripping around the opening? Thank you!

I think your best bet is to neutralize whatever you can. Meaning stay neutral if you do new curtains. Maybe do a plainer bedding set. I love the accents you have. The bench is awesome. Just a bit hidden lol. Remove the wall art on the bed wall and possibly add a light over the bed there instead. Like a big gold pretty linear reading style light. And maybe a light in place of the fan something like this would be sooo pretty
