Wiring Under Cabinet Non-Vented (ductless) kitchen Range Hood

When I bought my 1960's house about a year ago, the previous
owners had a microwave on top a wood board screwed to the cabinets above the
gas range. This microwave was plugged into an outlet about 2.5 feet above the
range, behind where it rested on this wood board. This setup seemed unsafe, so I immediately
removed it. I’m finally in the process of doing a basic remodel on the kitchen,
I'm currently at the stage where I can install backsplash but before that I wanted
to get some sort of venting system installed.

I purchased a hardwire Broan Convertible Range Hood that will
be non-vented. I thought the outlet could be removed and the range hood would
be hardware at this location, it’s quite possible that’s how it use to be
before the previous owner wanted to makeshift a plugged in microwave there. It turns
out that outlet also loops the power down to another outlet by the countertop
to the right of the oven range. These are the only 2 locations power is going
on this circuit.

I’m wondering, can the power be “looped” through the range
hood somehow and still power that outlet? Will the countertop outlet just have
to be removed to allow for a dedicated line to the range hood? I hate to lose
an outlet in the Kitchen that would leave me with basically only 1 GFCI outlet
and another one that the fridge is plugged into.
