floating shelves are good for towel storage - can be painted the same as wall color to blend and not feel so bulky A train/hotel type holder is good inside the shower too if wall space is tight....like where they hang in hotels..high and at the back shower wall. You would definately want a higher end all-stainless one if hung there. A more involved fix idea- in two homes we've owned I've "stolen" space for storage by adding wall cabinets that bumped into an adjacent room's closet...such as I took a foot and a half from the back of a hall closet that backed up to a bathroom and used this as an inset wall flush towel cabinet. The coolest space stealer we made was when a bedroom closet backed up to a back shower/tub combo. wall; we built a 14 inch deep niche at the back of the shower (and tiled it in) for towel storage...this was handy storage and worked very well, this was in the mid-90's before the digital age and all this sharing of ideas...I can't find any photos of that. :( Also, even stealing a few inches from any wall and placing shelves that are recessed in and extend out with an 8 inch ledge or so gives you enough for towel storage with less bump-out into a small room. Wonder if I'm clear in comunicating my ideas, but hth.

If you use a swinging door, I think it should open into the closet. If it opens into the wet room, it will be in the way of the toilet. Not sure about your area, but where I live, it's code that a shower door must swing out from the shower. (But I'm not sure if your wet room is considered a shower.) If you use a sliding door, I think it should slide open in the wet room, beside the toilet if there's space. That keeps the post shower drips from the door in the wet room and also keeps the wall space on the closet side of the toilet free. That might be a nice place for wall hooks - for robes and/or towels. As for glass vs wood door... this door will be hit with shower spray, correct? If so, I don't think you want to use wood.

I just finished an addition to my twenties home. I tried everything to get a bath and closet with in a 13 x8 ft space but everything felt cramped and instead of having a tight closet and a tight bath with small shower and vanity we decided to add wardrobes to or large bath. I wanted custom but due to an unexpected health issue we scaled back budget and went with IKEA pax wardrobes they hold all of my most worn seasonal clothes and all of my husbands work clothes plus most worn casual wear. I like the reach in better for organization too. We still have the orginal reach in closet and a pine older armoire for extra items in the bedroom but never open it. Could you add wardrobes in the bedroom and have a nice sized bath with additional storage? I really love my large bath after years in this old house with tiny baths and closets. I was unconventional and like keeping my clothes in the bath which has two venting fans. it is my most private from the street area in my room so it is where I change anyway but the wardrobes take up so little space I could have placed them in the bedroom without losing much floor space too. in your second plan you can turn the vanity and make it longer and have the edge abut the shower with a half glass panel and than the door....

So does one square equal one foot? 2 foot doorways? Yikes! Hate to tell ya, but I dont think that's legal. I would put a small 3 x 3 shower where the tub is, so you can reduce bathroom to 6 ft wide x 8 ft (incl shower). Use a twin or I think there are these super singlest that are 48 inch wide. PUSH bed to the right, so head is where you have closet now. Put closet down at the other end in corner where desk is. Put desk to the LEFT of the door as you come in (or to right as you're going on). Youll have to give on some of the components - what you have now wont fit.
