Cambria vs. Other Quartz Manufacturers for Countertops
Comments (58)@SaraDixon- if you are having a person that works FOR Cambria coming, it means two things. #1- your stone was sold to you (and perhaps fabricated) by a certified Cambria dealer. and #2- you'll be in great hands. We've sold Cambria for many years and have had one maybe two small issues (a spec of wrong color in the stone). Not only were the issues handled timely (even during a holiday), each customer was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Cambria personnel is expertly trained and stand 100% behind their product. You also have to understand that Cambria is the manufacture of material. There are other elements at play here- like the fabricator/installer/designer. I wish you the best of luck with your issue Sara! But if Cambria is coming, you don't need it. As for potential Cambria customers, you should all know that since September 2018 they now have a LIFETIME Warranty. This is a warranty that can be passed down to new homeowners if you ever sell your house and the warranty covers any sort of bill that may be inquired during the warranty process (plumber, contractor etc) You can read more about this warranty here: https://www.cambriausa.com/customer-care/warranty/ No other quartz company has a warranty like this. We have sold and do sell other quartz manufacturers, but Cambria no doubt is the best (not only because it is made in the USA, and because of their phenominal warranty) but because of what you get for the money. You'll spend more on Silestone, Zodiaq and Ceasarstone and you won't have the same color options, or even quality in some cases, for the price....See MoreComparing Cost of Quartz Countertop Companies
Comments (91)The cost per square foot wholesale has the same relationship to you as knowing what the meat wholesaler charges the restaurant for the filet that you want for dinner. The important thing is how well the chef prepares that filet. All you really want to judge is that final bill, and what it covers. If the steamed broccoli is a side, or included with the meal is irrelevant if one restaurant is known for serving shoe leather. Any prices in this thread are going to be completely irrelevant starting right about now. Expect a minimum 15% price increase, due to the tariffs. Some will have more than a 15% increase, as the labor of stone fabrication has stayed fairly stagnant now for over 10 years, and this is the time to rectify the labor market. It won’t be just quartz that is affected either. Most stone is imported. Most tile is too. Almost everything construction related is already high due to the hurricane rebuilds starting last year, and we now have another massive rebuild staring us in the face as well....See MoreAnyone Have Counter Top Regrets?
Comments (83)have finished the 4th remodel (wow 2 yrs since earlier post on this thread!). Used all white (no patterns speckles or veining) in MasterBath, Butlers Pantry Wet Bar, and as BACKSPLASH in Kitchen whose counters are Stainless Steel. (the rest of kitchen is all white cabinetry with brushed metal pulls). No qu that the white is stunning, crisp, pleasant. MasterBath is fine. Butlers Pantry: the white counter is unforgiving and shows everything. So on a second bathroom we chose white with a little gray veining and that has been excellent / easier. Kitchen all white backsplash with white cabs above below has been great and VERY easy clean (we cook a lot and use spices that stain too). But the all white in kitchen would have been intolerable as a counter for us. Stainless steel is not for everyone but 3 kitchen renos later, (2 remain actively in use) we love its cleanliness and the patina and very, very low maintenance. It looks surprisingly good with Cesarstone / Quartzite type stone products...See MoreKitchen color scheme and tile ideas!!!!
Comments (17)happyday123 impossible to say for sure..I wouldn't dare answer this for myself just by looking on screen..you need to see it IRL..with your materials. and seeing whole space is helpful too of course. It matters what space will be taken by your backsplash..are there any windows, lots of space under the hood or not, etcetera of the top off my head though-if your countertop stays..and with your beautiul flooring..gloss if simple shape..matte if textured a bit...ask me why-and I don't know:) I can't base it on anything I can explain, at least not at the moment. Need to think In general agree with eam that any color derived from your countertop can be very pretty..the exact name? no you'll need to look at it. you can like several btw..can happen:) (this fourth tile you've posted..I don't remember others but it's very expensive..to me was a tile I could just kiss good bye:) eam is right asking about budget...it will be taxes, shipping, whatnot on top of the written price. You'll need to order more for possible breakage, cuts, etc. If you have exposed edges-consider that. Trim pieces? Glazed edges? Just sharing my experience..since I never knew I should take it into account until the installation day. Then installation day moves a month since with handmade tile you need to wait..and can be more than a month. Can be 6 weeks, 8 weeks, depending on a tile and how busy they are. Their mistake-they'll expedite it , will be a few days, But if you didn't think of something in advance-it's not their mistake. So take all into account. Maybe you're more experinced than me, and you did..but I was very inexperienced. So. Back to prices. You can get contractor's discount though. They usually build it in the price..theyll ask the name of a pro you're working with. It was 30% off with all the decent stores around us. Which were very few, lol)...See MoreM Piliero
