Groups and Clumps
Comments (15)Thank you so much everyone for looking and for the nice compliments. I was quite surprised to get up yesteray and see so many clumps of flowers. We had had a little rain the day before, and the flowers must have really like it. Supposed to have a good chance of rain tomorrow, and I will hope for a similar effect. Debra, sometimes Emperor Butterfly will not open til a little later in the day, and that can be a problem. Today it was great. Hostabuff, I had a hard time finding Can You Hear Me Now, and it is a great one that always opens perfectly. Sarah, I had to have Roman Cohort when Debra (shive) posted pics of hers. Nat4b. It was a serious offer. It's a real bloomer and increaser here. Maryl, I got my start from Rita. Phil Korth said he sells out of PC every year. Linda, explosion is the right word. Celeste, it looks to me like my season is revving up to be here then gone. Whatever...Can't change it, just going with it,. kay...See MoreSome Groups and Clumps Today
Comments (20)I am not very good at mixed perenial beds, in fact I am a disaster at it. So I have a tendency to use lots of annuals. Last year I had cosmos planted up in that garden, this year snapdragons. I really like the snapdragons and the way it looks. I also have some small gladiolas that are called gammin glads planted at the end between two rows of those really late blooming Isabel Hibbard intros. I love all the extra color they are giving me and intend to buy even more of them next year to plant around the garden. del- I know you will love those Korth intros. My newer ones are just starting to bloom now but the ones I had from last year are putting on a strong show this year....See MoreGroups and clumps

Comments (9)Since we can't speed them up or slow them down, we just have to enjoy when they decide to take off...it does seem they have taken off very quickly. I couldn't resist posting some of the multiples today. Admittedly I am greatly looking forward to blooms on the new one...I want to see how they look. I did have a neat discovery today that I was hoping to see. Two years ago, on Easter, my DIL accidentally stepped on a plant. It did not respond well, and no sign of it was seen last year. It was in abed that I moved the daylilies out of to downsize. Well bout four plants came up this year in different areas (I am hoping Photon Torpedo is one of them). Anyway, not a good bloom, but it is Parrot Jungle; alive and it will be moved. kay...See MoreLaura twixanddud - SE MI - 5b
