The dutch iris are not expensive and are delightful in the spring. I found the same thing to be true of my mix. There were more blues than white or yellow. Molly

Shirley, I was about to email you to let you know mine is heavily budded as well and I expect blooms in a few days!! Yahoo!! For those of you who have a passion for iris beyond the common beardeds and who have a bit of a shady area, this is a great plant to include in your garden. Reminds me a bit of Iris japonica on steroids!! But bait for slugs or snails - of any iris I have grown, they seem to love the foliage on this guy more than any other!!

I was really impressed with the packaging, instructions and all the information on the site. I like that it started out as a small home business and that they are willing to trade too. Even though the online catalog is closed for the season, you may still be able to purchase a few if they have any left. I discovered Leonine late this season and even though I ordered a month or two ago, there were a lot that were sold out already. There are A LOT of exotic looking irises that I will try to get first dibs on next year! I have a purple, red, pink and white theme going on in my front yard so this year I stuck with purple PCIs. There are A LOT of other colors though so don't think that all they have is purple since that's all I bought. :) Here's photos of what I ordered.
