I think it's worth the money. The pictures are all nice clear shots. My own personal prefference: I always try to get shot's that are head on from a certain angle. Most of them are like this, but not all of these are that type of picture. It certainly doesn't mean the pics are bad. And if you want me to be really picky, I think a very small number of them have had the colors adjusted. Again, that doesn't mean it's a bad picture either, and it's only a small few that I thought I saw it on. Regarding no-name seedlings there are 80+ but I didn't actually count them all. Also as an added bonus (imo) several are taken by the actual garden owners. For some reason that appeals to me. To know that the people that grew them were taking some of the pictures. Do I think it could be improved? Yes, but what can't? :) I say if you want to see lots of new ones without someone else's personal taste dictating which are shown it's a must. I know I've put up a good sized clump of pictures, but I didn't come anywhere close to posting (or even photographing for that matter) all of the guest iris. The only problem I can say I have is that the "powerpoint viewer" doesn't seem to want to work, but I think just about all computers these days have a button you can click to view images as a slideshow. The entire problem may just be due to my own ignorance, but I wanted to be sure to mention that before you buy it. I hope this helps. I really can't judge it fairly for evryone's taste though. :) Brock

Pat, Just a quick response to your comments. All photographers did use digital cameras of varying quality and having different skill levels I surmise. If you have a large monitor you would view the pictures clearer if you just click on them individually as opposed to using the slideshow which blows them up and distorts the image. All of the individual hostas pictured are named in the photos. None of the multiple plantings were ever intended to be named as the bookkeeping for all involved would severely limit the number of photos that one could take in the very short period of time that the buses remain at each garden. I think all the photographers did a fabulous job giving all that were there some great memories of what they saw and those that did not attend, a feel for what they missed. We could never have shown as much (over 600 photos so far) to so many without the AHS website. Our Hosta Journal will have great stories and pictures regarding the convention in the future but has limitations as to number of photos and pages that can be published within budget constraints. Kathleen, I'm right here. Uh, I mean she is right here. LOL Jane, I have a feeling Jazz would totally freak if I put anything on him. However I often have decorated my cat, Ty. He is the one I refer to as my "Assistant", as he always had to help me with anything and everything. All the time! Now he's matured at 7 yrs of age, he mostly just supervises. LOL.
