A vintage tapestry used to. In this room likely 3-4 prints. I personally don't care for mirrors hung over beds. In the unlikely event it fell.

I'm with pal, nothing too heavy. Even if it is mounted super secure, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I've never been able to sleep in a bottom bunk either.

We have two (very light) framed prints.

Whatever you hang, make sure you secure the corners with ticky tack or something. Our frames are always off kilter just from daily making of bed, etc., but someone always makes a sly comment about the bed rockin (and we are getting kind of old for that sort of comment ;)

I have yet to figure out if my room would benefit from something hung above my head board also. I think I might prefer two similar framed art pieces above my night stands instead not. So for now I have only the headboard and one sconce on the bed wall.

I like this high hung print look in pictures but in real life I like art to be hung appropriately at eye level so I have not done anything yet.

Nothing-I have a high, antique bed and from the door/hallway, the wall the bed is on is not visible. I do have art above the bedside table and on the wall opposite the bed above the dresser.

Nothing. I don't like the feeling of something hanging above me while I sleep.

I have a Chinese batik tapestry over my bed. My headboard is low, so I can hang it at an appropriate height, art-wise. I also live in earthquake country too, but it is light and soft, and the rod doesn't weigh much either.

I have a large framed piece of art hung on a Ook hanger rated for a much heavier weight. We don't have earthquakes here.

Our bedroom has a bump out with large windows that the bed is nestled into. While we like the idea of waking up and rolling over to see the lovely view, the reality is that we need darkness to sleep, so the windows are covered with room darkening curtains that rarely get opened. We don't spend a lot of time in there during the day anyway - there are much better places around our house to enjoy the view!

We have a large but lightweight piece of artwork above the bed in the guest room.

My son does have a small canvas though above his daybed(a present we brought for him from our travels)..but that thing is really light, and stays unframed so it will continue to be light

We do have an upholstered headboard, print on color, subtle one but still..and we have art leaning on both nightstands, and sconces too, and lamps..so it's not like the space is begging for something anyway. I feel it's a good balance, right now.

We do have art on the opposite wall(big, leaning for now)..another small painting on the other wall..another bigger one also leaning, on the dresser..

It's still unfinished room of course, to me, (I'd like to get some very very narrow storage..like very narrow open shelving, or something along these lines..and of course I want more art which I always want) but it can stay like it is now for years too, or so I feel

I have a wrought iron square with two wrought iron scounces with candles and grapes on each side over our bed....then over the night stands I have two longish wrought iron pieces that sort of match the square one.....all garage sale items. On another short wall, I have three wrought iron crosses.....furniture is all oak....built by my husband. Lace curtains and blue figured spread on the bed.

Nothing above ours either. Our headboard is a little busy, arched with iron above cherry with chunky posts. Hard to explain, but nothing really looks that great above it. The bed is flanked by 2 windows and night stands with lamps, so anything I try above the bed makes everything on that wall look messy.

I have an antique oil painting of a dog above my bed. It is a picture of the "old type Cavalier King Charles Spaniel", and does not look much like today's Cavaliers. I bought it because I liked the colors but particularly because it had been owned by the woman who, with her sister-in-law, brought many of the first Cavaliers in the US and formed the club, and was later owned by a dear friend who now is in a dementia facility. I have many other antique prints of Cavaliers in my bedroom so it really works there.

Two lamps overhead, one by each headpost. I could see a lightweight painting, but wouldn't want anything heavy.

I have 2 square matching canvas art pieces with a medallion in the center. There are some lovely lightweight ironwork sculptures out there. It depends on your colors, furniture style and what makes you calm and content. What is on the opposite wall? You might consider hanging an interesting piece of art on that wall to enjoy while laying in bed like a bridge, dock, trees, birds anything that speaks to you. Good luck.

I thought OP meant "above" as in "on the ceiling above the bed." Made me think about a friend's parents' house in Indiana in 1974. We were 5. It was the best sleep over --ever! We got to sleep in her parents' round bed with mirrors above and a thick shag underfoot.

I have a small mirror and two small bird prints -- it's off center in this picture but it usually is centered.
