Any ideas as to what I should hang above this bed?
Comments (1)Twotogo, your link says it needs to have a picture selected, or something like that. Can you redo the link?...See MoreAny ideas as to what to hang above this bed?
Comments (6)I would stay away from tapestry, as I think it will compete with the bedding. I could see an interesting round mirror as one choice, to help bring out the circle patterns in the bedding and break up all the rectangles in the bedding and window treatments. Something with a carved wooden frame that has a bit of a Middle Eastern feel might be nice. Or, if you prefer a piece of art, I think this could be great. The darker background balances the drapery, and the strong colors and curves compliment the bedding. fleurs dÂautomne No matter what, I would consider changing out the shades on the sconces to red or gold, and adding chocolate brown euro shams at the very back ofthe bed in front of the headboard....See MoreQuestion about hanging pictures above bed
Comments (25)Ajsmama and Justgotta, me too. I live in earthquake country and when I saw "Question about hanging pictures above the bed" by Crashboombang -- well, LOL! I like the three pictures very much. It fills the wall in a pleasant way and I think incorporates the nightstands visually. Besides, in decorating remember the 3, 5, 7 rule! Do please be careful to hang them so if they fall they drop behind the headboard and not in front of it on your head! And please show us a picture of them after you hang them up....See MorePart II: What do you have hanging ABOVE your tub?
Comments (8)Some people that have codes preventing them from putting a chandy over the bathtub, have all the necessary wires in the ceiling and then install the light fixture after the inspection. Just sayin' :) We don't have building codes in the country here so there IS a chandy over my bathtub and I've seen 100s of pictures on Houzz (on on hgtv) with the same. I'm not sure how it's a problem. If the thing came loose somehow and dropped, the wires aren't long enough to come anywhere close to the water in the tub. If someone was in your attic and cut the wires and unbolted the mounting, it might fall on your head but it won't electrocute you <g> I'm sure I'm missing something. But then again, in this crazy world, maybe not....See Moreroarah
