most fragrant, high-blooming, (thorny ok) rose around veg garden
Comments (4)Most English roses are very high blooming and much easier to grow than teas or floribundas. They are somewhat fragrant although some people might say very fragrant. I grow Golden Celebration (yellow), Evelyn (pinkish peach), Tess Durbervilles (cherry red) and William Shakespeare(Dark pinkish purple). All are large plants, heavy bloomers, large flower-size but only so-so repeating. Can be very fragrant at times, but I can smell only a little more often....See MoreBright Pink Fragrant Rose Recommendations wanted
Comments (8)'Belinda's Dream' is a very nice bright pink with a lot of fragrance. It gets a lot of wonderful reviews from people in the rose forums. It is a gorgeous rose. On my list to get next year. There is also the old stand-by 'Queen Elizabeth', mine is in it's Fall flush right now and looks beautiful. It is a very bright pink as well as a vigorous rose that is pretty easy to care for. Nice fragrance too. 'Queen Elizabeth' will be available to buy easily bare-root in Jan, 'Belinda's Dream' will be a little harder to find. You may have to mail order that one, but it is worth it! (Try Sequoia Nursery in CA, they have it.) Good luck with your search for the perfect pink rose. It is very special that you are planning a memorial garden! :o) Queen Elizabeth Here is a link that might be useful: Belinda's Dream at HMF...See MoreExtremely Fragrant Yellow Rose Recommendations For Hot Humid Z7a/8b

Comments (9)I might ask Burling for recommendations and also check the old posts by Cori Ann. She grew MANY climbers and documented which ones did best in full sun, etc. Here is her HMF so you can look up those she grows. https://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=3.24840 Falstaff did particularly well along with Florentina. She also grows many as climbers such as First Crush....See MoreAquaEyes 7a NJ
