Hi, I happened to stop by the forum today and saw your post about the granite. I absolutely love mine. I was a little afraid of all the movement when we first selected it, but now its my favorite part of the kitchen. The granite was a perfect way to tie together the elements in the kitchen--off white cabinets w/ brown glaze, stainless steel applicance, nickel hardware and the red of our floors. Everyone who sees the kitchen comments on the granite. We had the same issue with variances in the slabs. The other slabs our fabricator had on site were completely different. One of them had a big rust colored circle that looked like someone left a paint can sitting on it. Thankfully they moved that one out of the way and although ours was a mirror image of the first slab it didn't have the same circle on it. Some of the other slabs they had were much more yellow or gray. It was surprising how much they varied. Best of luck to you in making your decision.

Hey Sande--I think Martini is the only one I do not have a sample of! I'm going to go online and look it up. No, no decisions. I picked up some tumbled stone and reddish/brown glass but I still fear the variation in the tumbled stone would appear too busy. My china is cream colored and so I do think Candlelight or Butter crackled Subways would be pretty with it. If I did any red glass, it would be over my stove, but I'm not sure I want an accent wall. My granite has a LOT of red (and even pink) in it, though. I fell in love with a hand made tile by Architerra that costs $92/sq. foot! But I love the "roughness" and matte finish and the "Tuscan" look. So I may be happier with that look, ultimately. I just don't know. You can see my china cabinet from the kitchen in this pic which is what got me thinking that cream is really the way to go and that it would tie in the two rooms. My Dining Room chair cusions are light, also. You can see one of them in the pic. So, that's where I am! All opinions welcomed!!!!

My mom just got TB with her medium dark cherry cabinets and it is the most beautiful thing you ever saw!!! Here in GA they are so bad with lots of rust stains and big splotches of weird colors. It is nothing like what my mom has in Kentucky. Her's is more like the slabs you and others are posting, the beautiful ones with the more all over pattern. Someone said it has changed recently so you are fortunate to find the beautiful TB slabs while you can. You did the right thing with TB it is great with cherry cabs and is fun to decorate around/with. You will not have any trouble finding things to go with it. We think the Danville Tan BM goes well with it. Someone also recommended Macadamia either BM or SW not sure. My mom has a stainless sink with an ORB faucet and it looks great. I think you can just about use anything with SS. You are doing great with your choices. I have a Grohe Bridgeford faucet in chrome and I love it. You will have to sort of twist it back in after spray use but that is the only thing I have noticed about it and it is no big deal.

We are having Typhoon Bordeaux installed next week. We are planning to use the same tile backsplash we used in our previous house because we loved it so much and had so many compliments on it. We use Tuscany Travertine subway tiles on the 12 x 12 mesh backing. The tiles are 2 x 4 and they are beveled on the edges. We used 1 full 12 x 12 from bottom of upper cabinets down, then a row of Noce Listello 4 x 12 with an antique bronze medallion and then finished with about 1/4 of a 12 x 12 piece across the bottom. The Tuscany Travertine just seems to match everything perfectly. I ordered 2 boxes from Home Depot this morning. Working with the 12 x 12 mesh pieces is soooo easy to install. I did our last kitchen myself and I had never tiled before.
