How about your J&P 2007 Test Panel Hybrid Teas?
Comments (3)re: "The mauve/lavender rose on the test panel hasn't been named yet but I really think it deserves to be commercialized as well as the other two." Check this out... They named it Sweetness and are introducing it for 2009. Here is a link that might be useful: JP Wholesale...See More'Souvenir de Baden-Baden' / Pink Enchantment
Comments (18)I got SdBB last yr from Pickering. It was in a big pot for a yr, and I recently planted it in the ground in one of my DA beds to replace one that died. As I recall from last yr, it got thrips reeeeeeally bad! This season it didn't get them quite as bad tho, but it only bloomed once before I put it in the ground. It kinda went into dormancy after that. Not sure why. The blooms are lovely and large, but they blow pretty fast. I have really warm temps, so maybe it would be better in the cooler climates. I dunno. We'll see how it does next season, after it's been in the ground for a yr. This is the one bloom I got this yr:...See MoreLooking for a disease resistant, healthy hybrid or grandiflora
Comments (29)Ah yes, Sunsprite - that is a mannerly 3' high Kordes that is no wider than my mailbox and blooms well. That one would stay tidy for you, and it's rock-solid hardy as flowergirl mentioned. Love & Peace has overwintered surprisingly well for me and is gorgeous, but it doesn't bloom enough for my tastes. However, Dream Come True is in the same color family and she blooms much more, and has stiff upright canes that shouldn't droop on you. Another possibility is Ascot, who is 2' wide and 4-5' tall, but very hardy and strong stems. The colors will blue out a bit, but the blooms are to die for. All of these have some thorns, though, so be cautious with your walkway. Cynthia Ascot in the foreground showing the whole bush - very double and very disease resistant. I think I got mine from Palatine Dream Come True...See MoreSuggestions for tall pink hybrid tea or grandiflora?
Comments (17)How could I forget Wedding Bells? Its great..healthiest bush I have, not a speck of BS or mildew on it, although it might not be as upright as you want...mine seems to want to be more shrubby and spread out a bit. Sadly I don't get any smell out of it so far. ( two years old here, grafted). Deelish seems to be pretty healthy and a good grower so far (only bought it last year) The colour is a bit bright and garish if you really want the mid to light pink, but I took one sniff of a potted one and snapped it up immediately, because it smells wonderful; was happy to see it does fade off a bit (here at least) to quite a pretty colour after a couple of days as it opens up. I will put Mrs John on the list for next year then!...See MoreMoses, Pittsburgh, W. PA., zone 5/6, USA
