I kinda like the weeping look of that sweet autumn there. I do cut it back every year. I will have to take a photo of it in bloom very soon..Its really nice in bloom.. I was looking at some kinda focal point in the middle of the side yard. Thats why I thought birdhouse. Maybe I should think another arbor with a bench you can sit on with a climbing rose or vine as a focal point then bushes on either side of it. Im not sure yet. Here is a shot from our covered patio

After reading the discussion about pink and gray with the baby's bedroom (sorry, can't remember who posted it) -- a color combination I have always loved but haven't been able to use anywhere -- I'm leaning heavily toward painting the walls a straightforward gray and using pink (not baby pink, but a mauvey pink, if that makes sense) towels and well, whatever other accessories I can place in that tiny room. Still haven't heard from my painter, so this may not happen til fall, and I'll probably change my mind a few more times til then...

HIW, it was solid, but I guess you could do it with spindles. I'm just wondering about comfort when you lean against the spindles. I also made a headboard for my DD's room with plywood and 2x4's. It was super easy (but this was much easier). Thanks everyone, especially for the feedback on the fabric. I did buy it for this room originally, but never got around to doing anything with it. I do have a vision of updating the room with a more up to date fabric (maybe a trellis or chevron). Any thoughts on where to move the floral pics? Maybe I'll start a new thread.
