Color Selections for Bathroom update
Comments (6)Thanks, I think it's difficult to tell the actual color in the photographs. This morning everything looked greenish to me on my photos at the showroom. In my house, everything looks a little grayish. I want the bathroom to be warm and creamy overall, but some gray is good if it is a nice warm gray that blends. I'm leaning more toward the hickory sample for the cabinets, which is the one on the left in the second photo. The LVT in option two is Audra Cape May Shell. It has some gray and brown together. I need to decide if it's too wild for me, but it is not crazy and it will hide dirt well. I like that it's a little rustic. The LVT in option one is Audra Meridian Stucco. It's gray/tan. The shower walls with the color are a tiny bit warmer than the floor, but we will have a white tub that give some separation. I thought I definitely wanted the white brick pattern but the stripes are kind or pretty too. I wouldn't mind my bathroom feeling like a vacation home in, maybe Colorado. Here's my most favorite inspiration photo at the moment. I think I love this. But mine will be the knockoff, the vanity will have 3 drawers on each side and the cupboard in the middle and we have a single sink. I love the faucet, but I would have to get a knockoff of this manufacturer (who doesn't have good ratings). I like a light, plainer counter, but I don't want my space to be super-boring, either. I want the bathroom to have a little bit of something special going on in it: This is my second favorite inspiration photo on Houzz, and it's very different! I like how all the textures work together and it's a beautiful mix. This one is a bit fussy for me though. Here is a picture of the striped Choreograph in a shower: It's kind of pretty! The Bricks Choreograph looks a lot like white subway, so nice and basic. Easy peasy....See Morehelp updating a bathroom with old blue tile
Comments (7)Your tiles are in great shape and should be easy to work with. I would embrace the period and have fun with it. I'd look for a pretty shower curtain that incorporates the blue and stick with a white close to the color in the floor tiles. I would keep fixtures in chrome, which are period appropriate for your bathroom. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Home-Decorators-Collection-22-in-W-x-28-in-L-Framed-Fog-Free-Wall-Mirror-in-Silver-81168/205577496 Embrace the time period in the bathroom with a light style that is from the same period. https://www.amazon.com/Nuvo-76-277-Diamond-Channel/dp/B002OMJBNO This shower curtain would be great in your mid century style bathroom. https://www.opensky.com/avlolo/product/mid-century-modern-retro-drop-shapes-in-shower-curtain-60x72-inches? Since you don't have a lot of room to hang towels, I would add over the door towel hooks and something like this over the toilet to store towels. https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/dotted-line-demi-wall-mounted-towel-rack-w001991980.html?piid=...See MoreHELP selecting a colour to paint the vanity/walls for updated bathroom
Comments (3)As mentioned above the tile floor is gonna be the "issue" only because it would really limit the colors on the wall or even the vanity.. are you looking to only paint or is this gonna be a full remodel?...See MoreUPDATE: Tile selection for midcentury courtyard patio
Comments (33)Thank you for those wonderful suggestions @mnmamax3 ! I decided to stick with the sorbet tiles. They are beautiful and I've used them in the home elsewhere. I'll add a photo of them in my bathroom later. I'll update the thread with the tiled patio when it's done, although it will be awhile before the tile arrives....See Morerockybird
