For me, it's the urpy muddy coral color of Montezuma.
I also don't like the white creams that fade to look like dirty linens. You know when you wash a white cotton with bleach and it eventually gets that dirty beigey yellow tinge. I do like whites & creams, I guess you just have to deadhead when they get to that point.
Many shades of pink bother me. For example some of the pepto bismal pink coloured hybrid teas. That shade of pink & the form seem dated to me. Like bad fashion from the 70's & 80's. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone.
I have branched out this year & added a few pinks to try. I asked my son to pick a couple roses out & he picked pink ones. Lucky me. But they have great forms (english types); so I will probably learn to like them. Also many pink roses tend to be winter hardier here.
I do love all the colours for different reasons. Yes I love the brights, the orange, coral, hot pink, purples, yellows. I live in a climate where it is snow covered, than dirty brown spring. So by growing season I want to see lots of colour everywhere. It's funny how everyone sees colour in so many ways!
