Are you in isolation during all of this?

I hope the worst of the discomfort and fatigue is behind you and there are more energetic days ahead.

Great news to read as I start my day. I still pray daily for your full return to good health.

Try visualization for a few minutes every day, see those stem cells moving and the resulting multitude stem cells multiplying like crazy. We did that with chemo.

Great news Lisa. I'm trying to visualize those cells settling in, beginning to work, restoring your immune system. And not least of all your health. You really are on the home stretch now, just some more patience and lots of rest. The little glimpses you are giving us of your journey are inspirational....keep up the good work! Fingers are crossed for all good numbers!!!

sjerin-yes, I'm hospitalized and will remain so for a least a couple of weeks. I need to monitored every 4 hours, and receive blood products as necessary until my cells are able to produce new ones on their own.

adellabedella_usa, I'm on a special stem cell transplant unit at the hospital. The patients are not in isolation, unless they "catch" something. As long as I'm healthy and have no fever, cough etc, I'm free and encouraged, to walk the hallways and participate in activities on the unit. All patients wear a mask when in the public areas of the unit. Our rooms have special HEPA filtration systems to isolate germs from being exchanged between rooms.

Yayagal, I've used visualization techniques throughout this entire journey since July 2016. I believe that it, along with prayer and emotional strength has made this whole treatment possible and offers tremendous potential that I'll be "cured". An inspirational bracelet I have reads "She believed she could, so she did." That pretty much sums it all up.

I'm so glad your stem cells are back. See they can come home. ;0). Sending loving prayers for your little healers.

I have trouble visualizing a lot of the time. I get stressed and then can't conjure a picture up to save my life. I've started using a guided meditation and then visualizing right after. I'm more successful then. Breathing exercises help me too. We need these tools because you never know what life will bring.

So happy to hear you are in the home stretch of your healing journey. Go stem cells! Do your magic! My dear friend had this procedure a couple of years ago when she was fighting cancer and it has been successful. She has been cancer free since the procedure. All the best to you!
