after it's cleaned, perhaps you could post new pics. as for new layout, how? everything is already crammed in there. Purge. clean, then purge some more. then pretend you aren't 12, and post some more pics.

Heather, the bed style and the dream catcher don't work for me...but I wonder if they would if the bed was also a cream color, could you spray paint it? I immediately thought of a darker accent color behind the bed to show off the dream catcher. Tall lamps in eclectic styles will bring some height up to the catcher also. The side table seem a little too chuncky could you move one of them to an adjacent wall or use something else for side tables?

If you put two twin beds and a desk in that room it's going to be a tight fit. Unless your sons are short you are going to want to get extra long twins. Does the measurement of the room not include the closet? Normally you would put the head of the beds on the far right wall so they're not visible from the door. I would put a bedside table between them. Try the desk on the opposite wall. It depends on how large a desk is required. If you can get by with one that is only 24" deep that would be easier to fit than a larger one. Also look to see if you can find a daybed/trundle arrangment with extra long twins. I don't know if they're made that way or not. Bunk beds don't seem appropriate for grown people.

We have always avoided carpeting because we always have pets and need flooring that we can keep clean. Our aging dog has a hard time on slick floors so we had to add some machine washable area rugs to prevent injury - another consideration with dogs. I don't think you need to match the flooring - just choose something that is the same color or "texture" or try changing the direction of the planks at the transition.
