The 'no mixing sprinkler styes rule' doesn't have much to do with pressure, its about application rate and not having one section soggy while the other section is still too dry. Most drip sysems can handle 50 psi, if you're going to mix the zone anyway, I wouldnt bother with a pressure reducer unless your using some real cheap drip brand, it won't affect the amount of water coming out of the emmitters. It's easier to mix a zone with rotors than say spray heads. You can usually nozzle your rotors down so that less water comes out, nozzleing them up might not work, depends on how much of your availabe water is being used already. Drip emmitters also come in sizes. Usually .5, 1 and 2 gpm. really some testing is needed. How long do you usually run the lawn zone and how often? You'll need to choose an emitter size to water your shrubs in the same amount of time. There are also other styles of garden emitters that are individually adjustable, often you can shut them right off, but i find most of them put out a lot of water... if I have to mix a spray zone, thats what I typically use. tanyak - I have the smaller 21 QT and it is heavy and big enough! I can definatly imagine the 41Qt would require an outdoor setup :) This is all from another Newbie...but I thought it might help. When I was canning this weekend, I was canning for an 1 1/2 hours (alought I can inside so the temp is the house is more regulated). I had to heat my canner up on high (on my oven because it's old)...but then eventually slowly, get it down to medium heat. Otherwise the guage just kept giggling instead of the 1 -4 times a minute. Anyway, my point was that my husbands thought was those canners are SO big and thick that once they get really hot, it'll be easy to hold their tempature. (Mine took FOREVER to cool down) Again, yours will probably be a little different since you can outside and it's easier to cool off. I never got my "giggle" regulated ;) until the last 30 min of cooking...but even after 1 solid hour of constant giggle I still had lots of water left in the bottom, I started with 3 inches to be safe since I was a cluless newbie :) I hope that helps you out some! oh ok. thanks for answering my question. The water is not coming out with much pressure on the first floor. On the second floor, there is no water coming out at all. The water was working perfectly the day before we closed. I setup my account with the water company and they said the water is turned on. The water company sent someone but left a notice, I am not yet occupying the residence so I wasnt there, I cant live in a place that has no running water.

What is the vertical rise from the meter box to the house? What is the diameter of your water supply line from the meter to the house? What is the physical length of your water supply line from the meter to the house? how many bathrooms do you have?
