Which Shower/Bath Faucet did you use - are you happy with it?
Comments (11)Thank you, enduring. That looks really nice! We looked at hansgrohe, but didn't see this model. Last night, I stayed up very late doing research and found the website below rating all of the different faucet brands. They rated grohe, hansgrohe and graff about the same. Now I'm leaning towards graff, but I don't think the parts will be as easy to get as the hansgrohe or grohe brands. I will have to look at the model that you have shared. Thanks so much. Comments (10)I was in your same situation. Fiance really wanted one, I didn't care. We ended up deciding against it because we would have had to build out that wall because plumbing in an exterior wall requires additional insulation by code. I also didn't want it because I didn't want to use water that had been sitting in that pipe since the last time it was run. It grossed me out but it didn't seem to bother me. At least with the sink you can run the water a bit to clear that out. My solution was to get a pullout faucet for the prep sink that would reach across the aisle to the range....See MoreOK..now I have a pot filler, what to do with it???
Comments (19)I have seen a potfiller tothe side of a range -- either in an open space between the range and backsplash and the side cabinets or just under the upper cabinets. Mine would have been too low for my huge pots -- the ones I most want to use it with. My pipe comes out of the wall at about 17" from the counter -- probably 16" from the grates -- maybe just below that. I'm just looking across 2 rooms at it since I'm landlocked by a lab behind me and a pup to the side. LOL Be sure to measure your pot heights from the height of the cooktop grate -- not necessarily the same as your counter height....See MoreDo you have a 3" filler pull-out? Then I have a ? for you.
Comments (19)Thanks, Lisa--it took long enough! The designing, that is. Like a year or more. I like the second picture a lot. The cabinet hardware is casual and the same color as the boards, so it all does look finished and intentional. The first picture is more formal of the cabinets, but the books and oatmeal make it more casual. The boards would look fine as they are, all a-tilt, if the cabinet were finished. As it is, it looks like the door is missing. If that opening were trimmed out flush with the doors/drawer fronts, it would look vastly better. The second one doesn't have that issue because the cabinets are inset. I think it will function for you just fine. But...don't you have a 4.5" gap? Or is that without considering the box? I thought you meant a 4.5" space within the box like SJHF, which is why I was encouraging you to do a pullout. If it's 4.5" including the box, and therefore a 3" gap, you're right that the open space makes the most sense, with or without a door. (I had one with door in a previous kitchen and it was right handy. )...See Morebarnaclebob
