Some Seedlings from the past few days
Comments (11)Nancy and Rita - I love gigantic blooms as long as they have sturdy scapes, and the seedling in the first two photos has thick, strong scapes. The Watchyl Lady Butterfly seedling has medium sized scapes, but they have held in strong winds. The Awesome Applique x Blazing Saddles that everyone has liked in previous posts has a 7-8 inch bloom, but the scapes bend in storms. That may be what rules it out as an introduction. Comments (14)Juliet, How far away from the bloom edge of Truly Angelic did you hold your camera? I have a macro setting on mine, but I'm not supposed to get closer than 8 1/2" from the subject. Then I have to be so careful of camera shake! Your Picture Pretty just blew me away! Then when I recovered, I added it to my wish list. Just purchased Susan Weber and Sings The Blues this Spring...hoping they look as gorgeous as yours. Salty Skipper and Last Flight Out were also added to my ever-growing list. What fun to get a surprise poly, and a 5-petaled one at that! Thanks for sharing your beauties! Julie...See MoreA few from the past few days.
Comments (16)That's funny Ruth. Sherry Lane Carr was one of my oldest daylilies here. It grew contentedly and productively for many many years until a daylily friend of mine saw it and had to have it. I gifted it to her as it was time to move on to other yellows......Shores of Time got to bloom last year before going down for the count over last winter. Upon seeing that bloom I was reminded of why I kept trying to grow her. What a pretty thing she is and why I enjoyed seeing yours...........Maryl...See MoreSome Daylilies From The Past Few Days
Comments (9)I like Swallowtail Kite. I'm a sucker for the watermark daylilies :) I personally do not like the change they did for the forum but when something is for free, I guess we can just go with the flow....See Morebethnorcal9
