Wildflower in a pollinator meadow

Visited Longwood Gardens today and saw this in bloom in the meadow. Reminds me of a penstemon somewhat but the anthers, etc. are protruding past the reflexed petals. The shape of the flower is bell-like and the outer skin of the flower (don't know if there's a term for this) looks liked a crackle glaze in purple.

The darker stem is the one for the flower above. Hard to isolate it as the meadow is filled elbow to elbow with plants.

Thanks for any help!
