Do i have too many can lights?

I feel like i have way too many can lights. i researched as much as i could and somehow came to the conclusion this is what i needed... walls in master and bedrooms on right are 9' and slope up to 14' in great room. I do plan to have cove lighting in the main corridor of the house and the master bedroom.

the can lights i've kind of decided to go with are Halo SLD405830WHR more or less. i like that they install in a standard 4" jbox. open to other suggestions that are similar. I dont really want to put big 6" holes all over my envelope.

The lights aren't cheap @ $30ish each but in the long run should pay off.

  • Retrofits in compatible 4 in. recessed housings
  • Light output equivalent to 65-Watt traditional incandescent bulb at a fraction of the energy usage
