I've spent the last couple weeks finishing up my den remodel with moving in furniture, and rearranging furniture in other rooms. My sewing room is still in the dining room for now. With the oldest home from college, I have more muscle to move big furniture around. We have guests visiting mid-week & staying 3 nights, so my Mother's Day gift is the boys & girl mowing the yard and having the house 'company clean' by tomorrow evening. Much better than burnt toast & runny eggs from when my Littles were little! :) We're off to church, and then to visit my MIL for a bit this afternoon. Enjoy your day, y'all!

I had to smile, I know my kids well. Amanda brought a Family Farm gift certificate to go toward a new gate for the barnyard. Ashley brought flowers. One very sensible girl and one more emotional one, and they are both like me in their own ways. Plus they brought the Grandkids, so it's all good! I did not cook, other than a pan of brownies I made last night. Elery cooked a chuck roast, "pulled" it and mixed it with BBQ sauce, to be eaten on buns. It was pretty darned good, too! Annie

Thank you for your kind wishes! Looking good. At work, my girlfriends and I have sushi Thursday. Now, instead, we Zoom. We TOTALLY miss it. There are no establishments in my corner and I can't Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc. anything reasonable. I've tried a couple of times, but it just isn't the same. Man, I miss fried lobster sushi rolls and sparkling sake.

My son texted me this morning and I was pretty shocked he even thought about it or knew the day. lol My daughter texted me later and offered to make me food tomorrow but she works later in the evening and so I suggested we go see a movie, on me. No movies playing that early in the day, probably because of Covid. The theaters are opening but only for a few hours in the late afternoon/evening. So we are having lunch before she goes to work. She said she felt bad that she couldn't "take me out on the town" but I told her I just wanted her company. I'm not big into all the commercialized holiday stuff anyway.
