Comments (10)No flowers or birds. I get so frustrated with our frig. It's not old at all, but it doesn't seem to have that much room. So we used some money from the savings jar to buy a little compact frig. All frig, no freezer. I'm so excited. Now all the large juices, extra eggs, extra half-and-half etc etc can go there. It was regularly $299 on sale for $125 with an 18-month warranty. Happy camper. That's not a scratch on the front, I guess I didn't get all of the markings from the tape off. I'll go do that now. Comments (21)We actually bought it last year when we first moved in. Loved the leaves, thought it died in winter. My dh is the green thumb, and he kept it potted. I started watering it first of spring, and just recently all these flowers busted out. I don't know if I should add it to one of my garden beds we've begun or just keep it potted. But it was certainly a surprise. I didn't have it recorded, since it was one of the first we bought, so I had to search images to see what it was. Comments (17)Minjeeah - it's a lily, not sure what kind. I purchased it at a small town (Neepawa) about 100 miles from where I live that is famous for their lilies. They hold a lily festival every year, and the Lily Nook sells many varieties. Lily Nook Jim - love your photos of Green Gables. Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite books and I'm currently listening to the audio version. DH and I visited there many years ago, which for me was like visiting a shrine! lol!...See More

9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoThe weird weather this past winter and spring has resulted in an unusual variety and abundance of spring bloom. Shrubs and trees blooming at the same time like never before.
This nearby Wisteria we have watched for 17 years. The bloom has always been sparse. This year not so...don't know where it all came from this year. It has taken over a couple large pines growing next to a state road. Left the truck that is driving by in so you can judge it's size. It is all of 35 to 40 feet high (and wide) into the tree.
