Heavy wind and curling leaves.
Comments (6)I know someone who has an Oldhamii that has only been in the ground for a few months. It seems to have some leaf curling as the result of cold winds. The bamboo has been healthy other than the cold damage it has sustained so far. Therefore it seems that the root system takes a somewhat substantial amount of time to develop to the point to counter-act this. I/We have some moso seedlings that have very severe leaf curling/shriveling problems. One of them seems to be somewhat healthy though....See MoreStrange Serrano Seedling Problems
Comments (3)In case anyone was curious, here's an update on the uncooperative serranos. The plant that was in the worst shape at the time of my previous post developed some brown spots on its first two true leaves. After 2-3 days of the spots growing, the leaves died and I pinched them off. The new true leaves are coming in much greener so far, so we'll see what happens. The other two plants appear to be improving slightly - no curling anymore and one is becoming substantially greener. Still not sure what's going on, but I'll continue to watch. I don't think I'll be planting any new seeds; worst case, I'll transplant some of my other extras in place of the serranos. Fortunately, most of my seedlings are doing pretty well so far. My only other disappintment has been the bhut jolokias -- only 2 germinations from 10 seeds so far. Oh well, at least I have those two....See Morestrange leaf curling on mango tree

BUT there is a strange curling on one of the newer leaves and I was wondering if it could point to some problem. please let me know what you all think....See MoreStrange first set of leaves
Comments (11)This is an update on the seedlings that had strange leaves. They are coming along okay but the one to the right still has two leaves. (Mickey Mouse) The caudex is growing still. I don't know what happened to that one. It was in the Crispum seed package I got....See More- 7 years ago
