Vanity light - which one?

last modified: 7 years ago

I have a 30" vanity. I really like this Hudson Valley light but won't be spending that much on a light for this room as I don't think it makes sense. So...

I found these as hopeful replacements.

1.

2.

At first I liked 1 better and and now I think I like 2 better. Forgetting about the Hudson Valley light completely... in general, which one do you think will have a better 'long term' look?

Feel free to suggest another light.

Or should I be only going with a 2 light for a 30" wide vanity? I figured the more light the better. No room for sconces unfortunately.

Room plan recap:

Will go with antique gold for vanity light. Will repeat the gold on the hardware and curtain rod + rings. Faucet will be chrome (will choose after selecting light) because the shower has chrome and I'm not replacing. I also don't mind mixing metals. I'll be using a small tan/beige & white buffalo check for window sill cafe curtains. My shower curtain is a solid textured tan/beige color. White beadboard will go on lower walls with SW Aria Ivory on uppers. Dog/bird/landscape/ art in wooden frames or even possibly Spode Woodland plates on walls.

Vanity color, vanity mirror, and window blind are yet to be determined.

Thanks!
